The Copeland Ramblings/

We are pleased to announce the birth of Sumatra, Verona & the Twins!

Today we were amazed to discover that our gerbils, Skeeter & Espresso had indeed had children! We had lost hope, but apparently these babies were born about 2 to 3 weeks ago without our knowledge! We keep them in a huge 80gallon tank and there’s plenty of space for them to hide. Usually at about 3 weeks babies start to venture out and explore, which is probably why we just found them now! We quickly did a count and found four babies. One looks like its mother, two a mix, and one is straight black. Here are picture of the whole family!

We are able to give them to petstores, but we would love to give them to friends before a petshop. If you are interested in having a brand new baby gerbil, let us know! They are extremely easy to care for and we will give you all the info on what is needed. We both had hamsters in the past, and decided that we never wanted them again, but gerbils are actually nothing like hamsters. More social, no smell, less maintenance, and way cuter!
