Crazy Crazy Primates

We had an AMAZING time at African Lion Safari! It was paradise for people like us who love animals. The first thing we did when we got there was play a little game of tug’o'war with an elephant - it was over before it started. All the adults from our work picnic grabbed the rope and pulled, without moving an inch. Then the elephant would wip us forward, then it would seem like we were pulling him back, which we later found out was staged! The BBQ lunch was cool, Debra got to meet my friends from work, and they got to meet this woman that I’m always talking about. Of course, the drive through the Safari itself was the highlight of the trip. It was awesome just to drive right on by lions, cheetahs, giraffes, rhinos, zebras, and tons of other animals. The monkeys of course were the most interactive…. very interactive. I’d never seen so many monkeys before, and they were all over every vehicle; sticking fingers in windows, chewing on antennas, playing with mirrors and occasionally wreaking havoc on unsuspecting wiper blades. We survived pretty much unscathed, though we wouldn’t have to been too upset. After the drive through the safari we went to a show about birds of prey. There were demonstrations with birds, it was neat to hear information about each species. Went we left for the Safari, we weren’t really anticipating such hot weather, and I paid….. and will probably feel it for a couple days.

That collage picture at the top is cool… If you don’t mind me asking, what do you use to make it?

Hope all is going well! It’s been a while…

Great pictures and praise God for your heart for missions. I am going to serve the Lord in Mozambique ,Africa as a missionary. Never lose focus of Him. It has been a 6 year process for me getting overseas fulltime and many short term mission trips!
