Crazy to an unbelieving world…

Today was an interesting day at work…. During the day today, God repeatedly brought to mind the guys from work, and I prayed that God would give me a very clear opportunity to share the truth with them. Over the last few months I’ve developed some good relationships with some of the guys and hoped that they would now at least listen. God, with a big smile I’m sure, provided that opportunity. The guys at work know I go to church, that I’m a Christian, don’t smoke, don’t drink, blah blah blah, but I really don’t want them to just think that I’m one of those conservative nice guys. I wanted them to know the heart behind who I am and what I do. I want them to know what Christ did for me. Whenever women walk by, the guys always have some gross comment to make, and I always ignore it and carry on with my work, but today they decided gang up on me and bug me about it. This was the opportunity that God had prepared. What ensued was a nearly 3 hour discussion about many aspects of God. The main guy that I spoke to is a staunch atheist. I know that my human words aren’t what will convince him, it will have to be God working in his heart. It was a fun discussion, and at the end he was every bit the atheist he was at the start, but he heard the truth….. and that was simply what I wanted to accomplish. I have no idea how God will use it, but all I can do is simply use the opportunities He gives me and trust the results to Him….. I think at some points they thought I was absolutely crazy, but that’s ok, truth doesn’t change to suit the culture. Though it was a fun chat, it increased the burden on my heart for those guys. But hey, God wants us to have a passion for people…

On this day..
