On Sunday night around 8pm Mom called us and told us that Ken had gone to the Emergency Room! Many thoughts ran through my mind: What had happened? Is he alright? Now, if you know Kenny at all, you know that there are a million different reasons why he could be there.
Possibilities Include:
* Going over the biggest bike jump ever with a camera attached to his head
* Finally showing the “Keep right except to pass” sign to the wrong person
* Going to bed at 11:30 instead of 10
* Using his Camaro to embarrass some punk
* Using his Auto PA System to accost someone about their lack of driving skills
* An attack by a Neon lover who is outraged by the Rhino Liner Neon
* His body finally says no to anymore chocolate chip cookies
Thankfully, it was none of these. We were told that during the Shelburne Youth Service, Ken was playing in a soccer game which degenerated into a water fight. Apparently he was trying to soak Becky and ended up hitting the ground hard, resulting in a separated shoulder. To the right is the afflicted region. After injuring himself he still managed to make it over to the BBQ at the church and grab a bite to eat before driving himself to the hospital, which is quite the feat when your right arm is useless and you drive stick shift. The emergency room can be a boring place when the wait can be hours upon hours, so Deb and I went over to hang out with him and make sure everything was good. At the start we heard horror stories of people waiting for 8 hours. That could never happen to us….. it was close. It turned into 7 hours. Thankfully there’s no permanent damage and it will heal overtime. The hardest part I think is for him to take it easy. So pray for Kenny and his useless arm, especially for a rapid recovery so he can get back to the Auto Centre!

I thought maybe someone beat him up for having the american flag on the back of his car:-)
Or…. Could have been the California T shirt. He needs to be a little more discreet about his affection for the U.S. !!
