Peach Mania

Today was the day that the peaches invaded. They came by the box. They came in herds. They came in droves. Alright, so there was a lot. Nearly everyone on campus put in on a peach order, it was a great price, only $4 a bushel. And of course to go along with that we had a class on canning this morning. During the canning class my sister Dana arrived for a visit. She sat in on our second class (Foundations for Living) and we gave her a tour. We’re really excited about the Foundations for Living Class. Obviously it’s stuff that’s foundational to the Christian Life, but it is stuff that’s easily forgotten. Today we talked about the attributes of God. But just listing them and talking about them isn’t good enough, what was stressed during the class was: ‘what do these attributes mean to me?’ It made m
e think a lot about my relationship with God and whether or not I rely on these attributes as fact or just know them on paper. Anyways, we had a great time visiting with Dana. A lot of people in our class know her and were also excited to see her. Of course, afternoon involved my secret work detail known as Dobu. I sense a mass canning session in our future, we’ll see how that goes :o)
