The Copeland Ramblings

The weekend! Though we love classes, the weekend is always welcome. After a quiet morning we got together with Jim & Joy Abbott and headed for Owen Sound. We didn’t have anything major planned, just wanted to get out of Durham for a little while. Sometimes you just need to escape the bubble. Jim & Joy have a 5 month old named Arika. She’s got to be the happiest, cutest baby ever… the baby that all babies should be compared to. I’m sure she has her moments, but everyone here at school loves her. Another bonus of having Arika with us was the special parking spots. Being handicapped isn’t the only way! We got home sometime after 5 and then the work began…. at least for the girls…. I washed the mountain of dishes and Debra, Joy & Avie decided to can the massive load of peaches that we have. They started before 6pm and they are still at it…. it’s 2:15 now and they still have quite a bit to do. They won’t want to go anywhere near peaches after they finish! They had no idea what they were getting into when they started.
