Thank You Ken!

Earlier this week, Ken showed up with a car load of groceries! We didn’t even know he was coming so it was quite the surprise. It’s very encouraging and humbling to see family and friends support us as we spend our time studying and learning. It’s awesome to see God supply through so many people. I’ve really been enjoying the chicken sticks he brought over. :o) It’s been a fun week, went by so fast. On Thursday, instead of regular work detail we had a class on doing a full car tune up. We used the mission’s old Toyota as a guinea pig. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to get through the whole thing, but it was still fun to learn. I’m sure Ken would be proud. Yesterday our class had a linguistics test. We were told about it the day before because it is a test that you can not study for, it determines your natural ability to pick up patterns in languages. They calmed everybody down by reminding us that being (or not being) a linguist doesn’t determine your language learning ability. On the mission field, linguists will often do analysis of languages and help develop an alphabet for that language. They will also help others and do language checks to determine if a missionary is at the point where they can start teaching. We have another midwife appointment on Tuesday, we’ll be getting a requisition form for another ultrasound, where we should be able to find out if our baby is a boy or girl! So in about two weeks we’ll let you know who was right!
