It’s a BOY!
As you all know, today was our ultrasound!! Some people like to wait to find out what the baby is… BUT NOT US! We were so excited to find out and were thrilled for it to be either a girl or a boy. But God decided to bless us with a boy! We know that you can never be 100% sure with an ultrasound…but…it was pretty obvious. Even we could tell. During the visit the technician also checked him out completely, making sure that everything was going well. 10 fingers, 10 toes, all that good stuff. It was a great experience, really neat to see our baby in detail.
So many thoughts are running through our minds… we keep thinking of the things that a boy entails, like not paying for a wedding!!! Neither of us really like frilly girl things, so it was pretty cool… yeah we will have frogs jumping through the house all the time!!

P.S. Everyone has been asking what we are going to name him. And as our track record shows we dislike secrets… So, his name is… drum roll please… CANAAN JOSHUA COPELAND

Norman…. when Canaan comes to my house could we leave the frogs at home? I could have stuffed little ones for him to play with!!

A boy! Congratulations! You two are in for ONE WILD RIDE! Let me tell you, boys are wonderfully honest creatures…always happy to brag about their latest destructions! I happen to be very fond of boys myself! LOL Canaan, what a great name! Now that you know what you’re having, aren’t you just so anxious to see what he looks like? I always was! Then, when you see him, it’s like you always knew that’s what he’d look like. It’s very strange and wonderful. Congrats again!
YEAH!!! A boy is a wonderful addition to any home. Having had both, I can tell you that a boy is the most up-front and honest of the species. His disobediences will be all physical – busy, getting-into-things stuff. He just has SO much energy. There will be very little rolling of the eyes, stomping of the feet and tossing of the hair. Think “FUN”!! Thank you, God for Canaan! May he grow strong and brave and true in body, mind, and soul…

congrats Deb and norm thats so cool having a little boy and what a great name, thoughs pic. are very fimliler to me i get so see them about every two to three years anyway my mother is stil big and ready to deliver but hasn’t but hoppfuly it will be soon maybe sat or sun God bless
