Watch out for the…hole

This weekend was busy, no sleep in time like last week. On Saturday we had that group of girls come to check out the training here at NTMC. It was a lot of fun and also informative for me. Frank V. did a presentation for the girls, and I picked up some tips I’ll use at a missions conference that I’m speaking at in two weeks. On Sunday we headed to Shelburne for church and also to visit my parents. While we were there we went over to Beaumont Billy’s barn to get a few boxes from our storage. In the old barn where our stuff is kept there is an old grease pit for working on cars. It was boarded up, all except for one spot which neither of us noticed. Debra went around to the back of the skid and suddenly she fell through!!! I quickly pulled her up and made sure she was OK. Luckily she didn’t fall all the way to the bottom, she really feel hard on her pelvis. She’s been pretty sore since, but thankfully that’s the worst of it. Canaan is ok too, he’s been moving around like crazy, he’ll probably like roller coasters. I even felt him kick twice today! Pretty neat. We also got to meet Dana’s new dog, Maggie. Maggie is a poodle. Wait - before you say ‘Hold on, let me get this straight… Dana got a poodle?’ or as Greg Ried so gracefully put it ‘A poodle?? I thought Dana would get a rotweiler!’ you have to give Maggie a chance. She’s really not that poodlish, and is really fun to play with. We brought our old desktop home this weekend too. I’m going to attempt networking our laptop and desktop together, mostly for the networking experience. We’ll see how that goes….
