Today we went to an appointment with one of our midwives. It was pretty short and to the point, she said the baby is fine and checked his heart beat. His heart is going at about 140bpm and sounds normal. After the appointment was over we were in the waiting room waiting for Ruth to finish her appointment and we caught Mel, one of our other midwives. Mel asked how the kidney is and Deb explained how painful that it’s become. Mel immediately started telling us about options for naturally starting labor. Our next appointment is in two weeks and we may actually get the ball rolling. We’re not sure what exactly it is yet that the midwives use, we’ll find out at our next appointment but if we do decide to go ahead with it, it takes about a week to take effect. So, if we do that in two weeks, it may only be three weeks before he’s on his way! We definitely will be praying about and are excited about the idea of having him early and relieving Debra of all this pain. The nice thing is that even if we have him ‘early’ in three weeks he is still actually considered full term and should be fine. We’d love and appreciate your prayers as we get closer and closer to the day!

WOW! We wil be praying. Keep us Posted!
Do we ever leave a single detail out of our blog????
Awesome, that’s exciting guys! A couple here at the MI in Jersey Shore just had a baby boy yesterday name Elijah John.
Deb- You might ask your midwife about stripping your membranes when you get to 37 weeks. IT’s a very natural way to start things (in that you don’t have to take anything herbal or medicinal). It worked with me both times it was done. (In fact it worked almost immediately when my midwife performed it this last time!)
Still praying for you, hang in there, it’s getting so close!
I’m with Lisa - that’s how I got my second a full 3 weeks early! (On the other hand, I’ve heard in Canada they use some great natural herbs to accomplish the same thing!)So excited…
We’ll be praying - what a blessing it will be for Canaan to be OUT - however and whenever he gets here!

Debra, my prayer for you is that you go to sleep and wake up with Canaan snuggled up next to you.
I know, I know…. but a mommy can wish that for her daughter!
And while I am wishing…. I will throw in that he loves to sleep at night and play by day.
Nothing is impossible with God!
he he!
