Diapers

Today we did some last minute baby shopping! We bought some newborn diapers… they are so small! I love that right now all this seem so great and amazing and how in not too long it will be just normal everyday stuff! But I am really enjoying this time of new things and excitement! =) This first time mom thing is so fun! It’s been kind of annoying how people keep putting the negative to when the baby is born… “oh you wont sleep” “you wont have a clean home” etc… I know it. But… We will have a little baby of ours in our arms! Nothing beats that. It was so refreshing today at Sarah’s wedding because I was talking to Heather Farran at the reception and she was just saying how amazing it was to have her little one after she was born. She said that every minute she lost sleeping didn’t matter… she had her baby! It was so nice to have someone actually talking positive about it!!! Sure I will be tired and just want a break, I don’t live in a dream world… but nothing in the whole world will beat having our son in my arms!

You are so right! And every morning you will get to watch a beautiful sunrise with your baby. I have always enjoyed those wee morning nursing sessions myself.:)

If you do switch to cloth let me know. I have tons of info and I would be willing to send you Caleb’s when he grows out of them.

Deb, it’s true, you will be tired. You BOTH will be tired. BUT, you will also spend countless hours just watching your child sleeping! Knowing you could be resting at that moment, you will choose to watch him sleep. It’s really such a blessing and those days of being tired will come and go so quickly. Babies are just amazing and the tiredness will be a welcome reminder that you are part of something so much bigger. You’re a mommy!

What a sweet thing you shared, Debra. I’m so excited for you guys. I can’t wait to see little Canaan. The diaper is pretty cute too. Who would’ve thought diapers could be cute?
