Midwife Appointment

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Today we headed off with Ben and Ruth Kane to go to the midwives. We love going with them, we always have so much fun. It makes the 45 minute drive go much faster. =) Julie Meyers was sweet enough to offer to watch Chloe, Ben and Ruth’s 1 year old daughter while we were in Owen Sound.
&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp We were pretty excited about this appointment because we were going to find out what the next step was in encouraging labor to start. (I have been taking Evening Primrose Oil for about a week now.) It all went pretty good. Heather (our midwife) kept reminding us that natural ways of inducing labor do not always work and are not a “silver bullet.” We already knew this but its always a good reminder not to get our hopes up!
&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp So basically the next step is….. On Wednesday when I am officially 37 weeks along, Mel (our primary midwife) is going to come here to our apartment and “sweep” my membranes. And she is also going to bring Caulophyllum a homeopathic remedy.
&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp We are excited to try to get the ball rolling, even if it doesn’t work, its worth a try.

Then after the appointment Ben Kane took us all to Dairy Queen (the two pregnant ladies wanted ice cream…hehe). It was really fun…
