Dad is Here (thank goodness!)

Yesterday Debra’s dad arrived from California, he had a long day but after dinner he was able to crash. He had a scary awakening though! The next morning Debra’s mom was going down the stairs to the bedroom and tripped, badly hurting her ankle. It swelled up and became very painful, she can’t put any weight on it. We thought that it might be broken, so we took her into the Durham ER to get it checked out. The doctor felt her ankle and decided that it probably wasn’t broken but they are going to do an x-ray in the morning anyway. She may have damaged her ligaments - we’ll find out in the morning! Deb’s mom is thankful that her husband is here to take care of her. I never thought that I’d end up at the hospital this week without Debra! Deb’s dad is here for a week, hopefully Canaan will decide to come out and say hi! If not, I’m sure Debra’s dad will be paying us another visit sometime soon.

Jude 1:24 To him who is able to keep you from falling…
I don’t mean to take scripture out of context… but knowing God really could have kept me from falling it is good to know that my falling didn’t take Him by surprise at all! I know He has a plan and I hope to have more chances to share the love of God to those I meet!

It is funny to have Deb taking care of me… that wasn’t the plan!

    Love you Norm and Deb

Tami, you know that there is nothing like caring for someone else to take your mind off your OWN troubles…so,
Deb is busy, and we’re praying! Especially praying for x-ray results - post and let us know.

Deb - Well, praise God anyway! If you had a brand new tiny one AND a mom with a swollen ankle…hmmm…God DOES know what He’s doing. And maybe now that Grandpa is there to take care of Grandma (!), Canaan will come out and play. (not basketball yet, Charlie.)
