Round Two

Despite a nagging cough, I think that I’m on the mend after a short but intense battle with a sore throat, sinuses, cough, etc. My voice hasn’t completely returned but at least I can talk now. This is a very good thing, I need to be ready and here for Debra! Yesterday began round two of Debra’s contractions. This time they lasted a long time, they became more intense sometime last evening and continued until 2:30 a.m when we both fell asleep. Between midnight and when we fell asleep they were anywhere from 6 to 12 minutes apart and lasting about a minute. Since we’ve been awake they’ve become irregular again and not as intense. These are good signs and are very exciting, things are happening! We also had a little visitor last night. Barry & Chris Challinor, the couple who’s house we’re staying at, have a little dog named Blacky. While they’re in Papua New Guinea they asked their son who also lives here at NTMC to look after him. Last night during supper we all thought that we heard this little bark at the door. Sure enough, there was Blacky! John didn’t know that Blacky had escaped, and they weren’t home so we hung out with Blacky for the evening. We finally got a hold of John and returned Blacky, he’s a good dog but he runs any chance he gets! Anyways, thanks everyone for your excitement with us during this time, we are truly blessed to have so many friends and family praying for us. It is encouraging especially for Debra to know that we have so many people behind us.
