Hello all it’s me Debra. I am currently in between contractions, thought I would update while I had a quick chance. Michelle the midwife just left a few minutes ago. It went really well. She checked on the baby… his heart rate and position. All normal… he may be in a bit of a posterior position adding to my horrible back pain during contractions. I am 95% effaced and 3 cm dilated. Coming along really well. Michelle was surprised at how effaced I am. She said it looks like a 10 hour labor… which is good, before she checked me she said it would probably be 14 hours… it was nice to have a potential 4 hours shaved off. =) Anyway… you may be saying she sounds to positive to be in labor… like I said I am in between contractions… I have had many a tear shed today, already. Some of the contractions were to much for me to handle. Oh well… after today we will have our little Canaan! =) It is a truly perfect time for him to come… My dad will be here another week, Norm’s dad is home till Monday (he is a long distance truck driver…), and we have spring break this coming week! As much as I didn’t want to wait… I think that the time is so perfect! Ok gotta go.
Debra (who will be happily holding her son soon!)

Debra, I am so happy for you two! I am praying that the labor and delivery are smooth as can be and I can’t wait to see your little bundle! Take care.
ALSO, just want to say, you’re the BEST! Who has time to pop in for a quick update during labor?! You rock girl!
I ran back home from church to check up - never thought I’d be hearing from you, Deb, in the midst of it all! Bless you both - bless you ALL -

Debra, it sounds so promising! I know this part is very hard and you feel like you cannot possible get through it, keep your mind on the end result, soon Canaan will be in your arms and the memory of the pain will fade enough that you will even want to do it again someday!.
Hi Norm and Debra! We are praying for you three. Can’t wait to find out when Canaan takes his first breath in this world. We’ve got a little gift coming his way too…..
Norm…just don’t laugh at Debra like Mike laughed at me during labor…he thought the sounds I made during contractions were hilarious! Only Mike….
