Recovering

I’m on the road to recovery after one rough night and a few days of soreness. I’m not sure what I had, but apparently my dad got it too. Deb and I were at my parents on Sunday and after my mom read our last post she called me to see how I was doing. She also mentioned that the same night I was throwing up, my dad was too! He too has been really sore and stiff since Monday night. I’m not sure what we picked up on Sunday, or from whom, but at least it’s over! Thanks to everyone for all of the encouraging comments and prayers! Debra’s family also left for home today, it was sad to see them go, we’ve had an awesome time with them. Debra’s mom has been here for a month and was such a huge blessing to us, she helped us in so many ways. Kathleen, Gregg and Critter also left, the week they were here for went way too fast but it was a lot of fun. Yesterday was our last day of house sitting for the Challinors, so we’ve moved back home and look forward to getting used to normal life at home with our little guy. Debra is feeling better each day, though for some reason her kidney has still been bothering her. Pray for us as we continue to adjust and attempt to get Canaan’s feeding organized. He has been feeding well and very regularly but takes his merry old time, often falling asleep. This means that Debra barely has time for anything else. Thanks for your prayers!

On this day..

Umm.. tell Debra to nurse him that way. If you nurse him he may not like it. LOL

Glad you are feeling better. Try nursing the little one in just a onesie and rub his feet all the while. It helps to keep them awake. :)

La Leche League may be able help. There is a local group in your area.

Nursing is a new thing for both Debra and Canaan. The La Leche League idea is a good one. Good luck Debra. I’m glad you’re feeling better Norm. Illness on top of sleep deprivation isn’t a pretty combonation!
