Tech Tips : Day 2

We’ve completed day two of Tech Tips! It’s been a very fun, practical and informative class. In two days we’ve talked about everything from water filtration, to solar panels, to outhouses! Nearly everyday there will be a lab where we will get to put into practice what we’ve been learning. This morning Debra and I got to do some soldering. Debra had never soldered before, but she did an amazing job! We also got to try out our new volt meter. Solar panels will be the biggest topic during the next two weeks since it is the most efficient way of getting and storing electricity overseas. I really appreciated the emphasis that our teacher has put on the class, that the whole reason for tech tips is tribal church planting (not necessarily the missionaries comfort), the things we learn are meant to save us time which allows us to focus on our main goal.
