Might be the one!

Yesterday Ken and I were able to head down to Kitchener to check out the 1997 Neon we posted about earlier. The car lot was hard to find because of massive construction completely surrounding it, but we finally found it after walking a couple of blocks. Our first impression of the car was good – it was very clean and Ken’s gave it a quick inspection. So far so good. We took it for a test drive and it was there that we found the only thing that we weren’t pleased with. It seems that the throttle cable was seized up. Ken said that this wasn’t a huge problem and most likely the result of the car sitting around for a while (it is a 9 year old car with only 28,000 miles on it). The engine did sound like it was running smooth though. Ken and I went to eat dinner and discuss the car. We ended up deciding to tell the seller that we would come back on Saturday and if he had fixed the cable and we drove it again and liked it we would take it! We performed a Carfax check on it and there are no accidents on record with it. So – we’ll see how it goes tomorrow, we’re really hoping that this goes through! I didn’t realize how hard it is to shop for a new car!

On this day..
