Late last night I went out to the car to get a few things and this little guy was sitting by the drivers side door!
He was quite afraid of me, but Debra grabbed the camera and we were able to get a couple of pictures. I think that the porcupine was a baby, it was pretty tiny. I kept my distance because I’ve seen Missy (my parent’s dog) come home quite a few times with her nose full of quills. Today was graduation for the second year students. It will be weird with out them! Last year we went to the NTMC graduation to watch some friends graduate, and it’s neat to think that the class that is graduating now was there watching like we did today! Only one year, which I know will go by fast, and we will be up there. It’s exciting but scary, and a great opportunity to trust God. I was reminded today that it is God who enables us to do His work, He can use our training but it is not the training itself that will enable us to serve Him. I am thankful for this because I see my faults and inadequacies.
Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes, or powerful, or wealthy when God called you. Instead, God deliberately chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose those who are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important, so that no one can ever boast in the presence of God.
I Corinthians 1:26-29
