The Long Days Have Caught Up With Her
For the last few days Debra has had an increasingly sore throat. Last night she felt like she was getting a fever, and indeed she does! We took her temperature early this morning and it was nearly 102 degrees. Went to the Durham ER at around 7:30am and there was no doctor there, the nurse said that the doctor would be back at 9am. We went home and came back at 9:30, only to find that the doctor had come and gone! The nurse was sure that she told us that the doctor would only be checking in at 9, but Deb and I both remember her saying that he would be back at 9. So there was nothing they would do for us there. It was a little frustrating, Debra felt horrible and the nurse was very rude to us. We went home for a couple hours and decided to try the Hanover ER. We drove to Hanover and Debra was looked at by a nurse, the nurse told us that the doctor was on lunch and then would be making rounds at the hospital and couldn’t see her until 4:30. So, we’re waiting it out and will be leaving in a few moments to go back to Hanover. Please pray for Debra, she feels horrible! She also wants to be well enough to work on our jungle camp home tomorrow. I especially want to get her some medicine today because I will be gone for the next three days, and she won’t have a lot of help to look after herself or Canaan.
