Setting Up Home

We just spent our second night here in our jungle camp home, we are slowly adjusting and getting ourselves organized.  Last Sunday was move-up day and we started at 3am carrying everything up.  We’re very glad that we started early, it got very hot very fast!  We were very blessed to have mom(Grandma Sheila) stay over at our house and look after Canaan for us while we moved.  She also helped clean the house!  We took a lot of breaks because of the heat but by the afternoon we were all moved up.  The deadline was 5pm so we had time to take a last minute shower.  Within the first 20 minutes of being up here chipmunks got into our bread and raccoons tried to get in during the night.  Our bedroom is now carpeted and has lights, complete with switches!  Sounds luxurious for a home made out of poles and plastic but it’s really nice to have.  Our plumbing works well, I had a hot shower last night using our bucket shower and the boiler in the stove.  It’s kind of fun writing our posts on paper and mailing them, thanks Ken for typing them for us!  Will post again soon.

p.s.  Canaan is adjusting fairly well though he hasn’t been sleeping too well up here.

On this day..

    Thank you Ken.

I have pics of their house that Leah took.

If you have her StillWaters email she will send them to you… but hurry she leaves Monday for Paraguay.

I would send them to you but I don’t have your address.
