Another Jungle Camp Post

We are finally starting to settle into “normal” life, or at least what will be normal over the next three weeks. Getting ready to move up here was a whirl wind, months of work was done to prepare, but it is so different here. We are still busy with life but it is a different kind of busy. A good part of our day consists of finding wood – that’s got to be the biggest job. Laundry is also very time consuming when your own arm is the motor that cleans the clothes. We are thoroughly enjoying this temporary change in the way we live our lives and already know that we will miss our jungle camp home when we move down. Debra has been getting used to cooking on our wood stove and has been cooking some excellent meals! It’s a very tough job, its impossible to get a constant temperature; in just a few seconds the oven can go up and down a few hundred degrees. Over time we will figure out what kinds of wood are best for cooking certain things. Thanks to everyone that has sent us a letter, we love getting mail, its our only contact with the “outside world”. =) We will write you back!
