Work & Play

While Debra and I are here we get the chance to help out Gregg and Kathleen with their new house. Their old house in Valencia is up for sale and bought a new place close to the Rutledges. There’s a lot of work to do there, we’re glad that we can be here to help them! This week we’ll be putting in a hardwood floor, but today we had a much more messy job!

We worked in the attic putting some insulation - it was a hot job! The weather here in California has been extremely hot and humid, it’s usually pretty dry here. It didn’t take too long but we were dirty, hot and sweaty by the time we were done. We put some new electrical outlets in downstairs then took off to the beach to surf! It was basically my first time, I had tried once five years ago but was never really taught how it works. Debra and Critter spent some time swimming and hanging out on the beach, a great way to spend our time in California! When we got here Gregg surprised me with the news that I get to go on a ride along with him! Gregg is a CHP (California Highway Patrol) officer and on Wednesday I get to ride with him for an entire shift. I’m looking forward to the chance to hang out with him and see what his life is like as a cop.
