Copy Cat

On Sunday Canaan started something new! For the first time ever he started mimicking sounds that we made at him! Debra’s dad was making a roaring noise at Canaan and suddenly he looks at us and roars. It was so funny! OK, maybe roaring isn’t the best thing for him to learn (we joked about him roaring at old lady’s that pinch his cheeks), but it’s fun none the less. He repeated after us over and over for most of the afternoon. Since then he has been copying other noises and evening trying to combine them. He’s having fun with these new found noises and so are we!

Last night we had dinner with our good friends Tony & Shannon Goff. Shannon was our wedding planner and coordinated everything! She and Debra spent many hours pulling everything together. I didn’t know it at the time, but when Debra and I got married I was getting a whole lot of great friends as well as family. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know these new friends and having them be a part of our lives. Their parents, the Robisons were also there, they too have been a huge blessing and encouragement to us, thanks guys! Here’s a picture of Rob & Christine Robison holding our little guy:

On this day..
