…and burn! (not quite)

We’re up and running again - thanks to Roland and Kanotix we were able to recover all of our baby and pregnancy pictures that were still on the lap top. We’re finally reinstalled and ready to go. I learned my lesson - back up more often! Suddenly Apple sounds much better than it used to. We had a great weekend, despite all the extra hours put into saving the pictures. I spoke at our home church in Shelburne yesterday and had a great time doing the support presentation and speaking about God’s consistency. We all had lunch together and then had a Q&A time as well as having a group discussion about my sermon. Today we tried out a baby back pack that was given to us by the Vander Meulens and took Canaan for a walk up to our old Jungle Camp site.

Check out Canaan’s new hair-do, our very own little punk! Tomorrow we jump headlong into phonetics, it’ll be a big adjustment after such a relaxing week of orientation but we are excited to see what God teaches us and how he is preparing us. After a bout of congestion and an ear ache it seems like Canaan is finally feeling a bit better (other than teething), thanks for your concern and prayers! Visit this page at the University of Iowa to get a peek at some of things we’ll be learning over the coming months.

On this day..
