Week Two

Yesterday saw the finish of our second week of our CLA Practicum. It has definitely been a challenge but as every day goes by we see the value of what we have been learning and it’s effectiveness when it comes to learning another language and culture. On Wednesday Lidya took us out to a couple of her favourite stores: New Life Mill and the local butcher shop. It was a fun experience and we took lots of pictures which we used in later sessions to get new vocabulary. Yesterday we took a tour of her beef farm, they are definitely hard working people. Lydia doesn’t know the meaning of the word retirement, she’s always on the go. We are actually one third of the way through our practicum, it really has gone fast. It’s been a very busy and tough part of our course but also an invaluable one. Thanks for your continued prayers and support!

On this day..
