Family

The best part of our trip is just watching Deb’s family enjoy Canaan. Though they’ve loved watching him grow through pictures and video there is just no replacement for the real thing. Canaan too has had a blast getting to know his grandparents more and definitely has loved the attention. Times like these are special to us but at times sadden us when we think of someday in the future when we leave for Guinea. My own parents get to see Canaan every weekend and they still miss him like crazy. Going to Guinea on our own strength would be way too hard. We are thankful that it is God who has asked us to go. But He hasn’t just asked us to go and left the rest for us, he has supplied us with everything necessary to accomplish the task. He is intimately involved in our lives and it is these things that allow us to carry on. And so we just take the moments we have with our family and enjoy them, thanking God for the opportunities we do have to be together.

On this day..

I’m so glad you’re enjoying your holiday!
We missed the three of you at the party last night, but I hope you’re having a great Christmas! :)
