Bananas - MMMMM!

Meal time is always exciting for Canaan. The challenge for us is to make it fun but still a meal! He has found the game of blowing raspberries as soon as we put food (especially mushy food) into his mouth. He’ll eat pretty well anything, though sometimes new textures don’t agree with him and force his gag reflex. Over the last few days his mobility has grown immensely! He has gone in three days from slowly tentatively pulling himself up on things to his latest attitude of “I want to stand ALL the time!” Like everything else I suppose it is fun and challenging at times. He has also been learning and repeating all kind of new sounds and facial expressions, like this one which is his current favourite:

It has been a busy semester but I was finally able to pull out and play with a Christmas present of mine: a microscope! This may not seem like fun to you, but I grew up spending hours upon hours peering through my microscope at all kinds of interesting things. Debra bought me my new microscope this past Christmas. I’m looking forward to someday playing with it with Canaan.

That poor kid! I can’t believe you’re subjecting him to such a vial food at such an early age - and when he doesn’t even have a say in the matter….

Let us know what cool things you see. Using the microscope at work is one of my favorite things.
