Tickets, Visas - Check!

What did I do today?  I drove 1200kms!  From little Durham to Ottawa, the capital of Canada.  I traveled with Pete Doerksen, another missionary to Guinea and also a member of the Guinea Field Committee.  If ever the Field Committee wants to get to know me, 14 hours in the car will do it!  Pete and I were travelling to the Guinea Embassy to Canada to apply for our visas to enter Guinea.  Pray for the Doerksen family too as they get ready to head back to Guinea in June for their third term.

I got up at 4am this morning and by 5 Pete and I were on our way.  The trip there was great! We made it in 6 and a half hours, the traffic was fine.  Our appointment though wasn’t until 1pm, we were hoping that they’d see us early.  And they did!  By 1pm we had paid for our visas and were out the door with our passports in hand.  The trip home saw us hitting Toronto rush hour traffic,  a bit of a headache since neither Pete nor I are big fans of the city.  We are very thankful to the Lord for giving us a safe productive trip.  Our trip seems to be on schedule since we have also purchased our tickets last night!  Well, I guess you could say we ordered them since we’ll have to pay for them later when the bill comes in :o)  Irregardless, we are excited to now have both tickets and visas to go to Guinea!  If you’d like to pray for our trip please check out the checklist on our Guinea page.

On this day..

I am so excited to see where the Lord is taking you on your way to Guinea! Gregg and I are going to be playing the video that you made about the riots in Guinea and the people who are lost with out the Gosple. We are excited to get the class even more involved. Knowledge is powerful! Thanks for the video!
