The Great Purging

Sunny Days Debra and I were looking at our course schedule when it finally hit us. Woah! We graduate that soon?! Next week we have a class on the importance of literacy, the week after that is Tech Tips (we learn how to set up all kinds of cool things like a solar panel system and water purification systems) and after that is a three day video series called ‘Seven Laws of the Teacher’. That’s it!

Graduation is on Saturday, June 2nd, and just over a week later we’ll be flying out to Guinea. We have a lot of packing and sorting to do. We have to sort our stuff between that which will go to Quebec with us and that which will be going to Guinea once we go full time. The house that we’re moving into in Quebec is fully furnished so we don’t need to take as much there. My parents have been gracious enough to let us store our belongings in my old bedroom.

My sister is having a big garage sale next weekend so we’re going to take a big load of stuff there, we want to sell everything from our kitchen table and dresser to a juicer, waffle iron and george foreman. It truly is amazing how fast one can accumulate things. But, the last thing we want is to travel with so much stuff. We’ve been getting rid of as much as we can and have been calling it ‘The Great Purging‘.

We’ve all been pretty sick this week, bad sinuses, sore throats, achy, that sort of thing. Keep us in your prayers, we have immunizations on Wednesday and can’t be sick when we receive them!

On this day..
