Critter’s Grad

Critter's Grad Yesterday we were able to watch Deb’s little sister graduate! We traveled down to Jackson, Michigan on Friday, thankfully it was an uneventful trip. Although it is a holiday weekend in Canada the traffic was fine and the border crossing was smooth sailing. We’re staying with our friend Matt & Jazzy Bennett. Matt and I met 7 years ago on a missions trip to Brazil.

Christy (or Critter as we call her) was excited to see us, well, she was excited to see Canaan in particular. Yesterday we attended the graduating students brunch and then headed to a local church to attend Critter’s grad. It was great to see Critter and her peers excited about what God has for them next and His heart for the world. The speakers were good and before long Christy was up receiving her diploma. We are very thankful that God provided a way for us to get down and support Christy.

Critter & Canaan It brought back all kinds of memories of our time at NTBI and our graduation that took place at the same church as Christy’s. We are excited to see what God has in store for Christy. After the ceremony there was a short reception back at the school and then the mad scramble as students packed and said goodbye to their friends. It seemed like a very emotional afternoon for many of the students, it’s hard to say goodbye to friends that you may not see for a long time.  After getting all packed up Critter and a friend left to drive back to California.  Pray for Critter as she makes this long trek across the country!

Our good friend Jon Coe also surprised us and many others with a visit. Jon lives in Washington but flew out for the graduation to visit friends. We spent the evening with Matt and Jon playing a fun game of Nerts (basically Dutch Blitz) before Jon had to leave. Jazzy had left earlier in the day to go see her mom in Colorodo who is suffering from blood poisoning.

Canaan did great all day especially considering he had absolutely no nap all day long! He’s a tough kid and I think will do great on our travels this summer

CONGRATULATIONS CRITTER!
