Coming Home

Today’s the day!  We are leaving for the Conakry airport in about an hour and will fly to Brussels, have a five hour layover and then on to New York City.  We will stay for the night in New York City with the Parkers and then on the 5th drive home to Ontario.

A few hours ago we went to the airport for early check in.  We had a bit of a scare when the check in agent said that we weren’t in the system!  We came to find out that because of our earlier mishap with our flight to Conakry, Brussels airlines canceled the rest of our flight!  When they tried to put us back into the system they found out that our flight from Brussels to NYC was completely booked.  Thankfully the scare didn’t last too long, a couple of phone calls later and they were somehow able to find seats on our original flight.

We will likely be able to post in New York, thanks for all of your encouragement!  We will be home soon and look forward to seeing you all and sharing with you our experiences in Guinea, West Africa.

On this day..
