A Vacation during Vacation

Sunset in Ventura County We’ve called our time in California a vacation though it has involved plenty of work to get ready for presentations and other things coming up. But this week we’re on a REAL vacation! We and the rest of the family left this morning for a week away at the beach. We’re staying at a beautiful beach house that is just a hundred feet or so away from the beach. We’re excited for the family time and the chance to relax. We’ve already taken Canaan down to the beach and he has absolutely loved the sand though he is still a little bit freaked out about the waves. Hopefully by the end of the week he’ll be adjusted. We went to watch the sunset this evening and came across a dead seal that had just washed up, it was pretty gross, the face had been eaten off. Anyways, enough of that. We’ll take some pictures of Canaan having fun on the beach soon and put them up.

Thanks for the picture of the dead seal. Ace always thinks I am crazy for taking pictures of dead things but thats part of life. Once I took pictures of my cat having a miscarriage. It was so cool and a bittersweet moment as I watched those tiny tiny kittens gasping for air and knowing I couldn’t do anything about rescuing them.

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article ation during Vacation at The Copeland Ramblings, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.
