San Diego

Today we made the drive down to the San Diego area to visit our new friends Stephen and Lizzy Isbell. Stephen and Debra grew up in church together, they emailed us a few weeks ago about getting together to meet us and talk about our ministry a bit. On the way down we made a stop to have lunch with Cliff and Avie Clutters, a couple we graduated with this past June. The trip down and back were pretty horrendous, there were all kinds of accidents and traffic, but it was well worth it.

Stephen and Lizzy are expecting their first this coming February and are very excited! They seemed to enjoy watching Canaan play around their home. Except when he knocked a heat lamp into the turtle tank which resulted in an exploding light bulb. Luckily no one was harmed, including the turtles. Despite those shocking events we had a great time sharing some of our recent experiences in Guinea with them and just hanging out! We’ll miss all of these opportunties we’ve had once we move to Quebec. On that note, I received an email today from Laval stating that everything is accounted for in our file and we are ready to go in a couple weeks for my classes to start!

All Six of Us
