Gregg’s Surgery

In about 11 minutes (7 am PST) my brother in law Gregg Bowcock will be having bone graft surgery. Some of you might remember some posts a few months ago about an accident he was in. Gregg is a California Highway Patrol Officer and last March he was on his motorcycle responding to a call when a car tried to pull a U-turn in front of him. He couldn’t avoid the car and hit it hard, flying off the bike. It was a miracle that he wasn’t injured more than he was, though his injuries were still very serious. Gregg’s right leg was broken in three places as well as his left ankle. He’s been off work ever since, slowly recovering. At a previous checkup it was found that his leg just isn’t healing, he will have to have a bone graft from his hip in order to start the healing process.

It kind of seems like a step back but, he’ll be about two months behind in recovery from where he is now, but obviously it’s best for the long run.  Please pray for Gregg today as he undergoes this surgery and once again begins recovery.

On this day..

Thanks Norm and Deb for posting about Gregg. We love you and your support. Gregg is doing well. He is still in recovery, but only because they are waiting for a room to open up for him. The doctor said that he made it thought well. When i went back to see Gregg he looked better then I usually see him when he comes out of surgery. I love you both and thanks for taking care of us both!! We will truly miss you all like crazy!!!
    Kathleen
