And So It Begins

Well, it’s been a long period of silence because we currently don’t have an internet connection.  We signed up a couple of days ago but it won’t be operational until this coming Saturday.  Right now I’m at an internet cafe.

Our trip to Quebec on Thursday went very well, Canaan did great, what a little trooper!  He did have a rough night sleeping on Thursday but he has been getting better each night.  During the last two nights he didn’t wake up at all.  Our landlords move out tomorrow morning and then Canaan will get his own room again, and more importantly so will we!  Our landlords have been showing us around the house and letting us know how they like things done and taken care of.  As of tomorrow we’re on our own!  Next Friday my brother Ken will be arriving with our trailer of belongings, we are excited to unpack and settle down for at least a little bit.

Today I went to the University for orientation, it was a bit overwhelming!  Even though we haven’t actually started classes yet it was almost all in French!  Tomorrow morning at 8:30 I actually start classes, I’m nervous but also excited.  Even though we haven’t started our formal teaching yet, we’ve encountered lots of Quebec language and culture, just getting around to do daily errands is a good way to learn.

We will update again on Saturday, and if you don’t want to wait until then feel free to call us, we’d love it!

On this day..
