One Week Down
This weekend we got our Internet back up and running, our updates will be more frequent than they have been lately. Well, we’ve survived our first week here in Quebec. We are still adjusting but having a good time. I find my classes at the University to be tough but interesting and beneficial. Everything is explained in French, they don’t’ use any English at all to help us out. But that’s the idea, all we ever do is french! We’re not even supposed to speak English to other classmates outside of the classroom, though they do go easy on us as beginners. I’ve also been learning the city bus system, which has been interesting. Let’s just say I’ve missed more than one of them.
This weekend my brother Ken and friend Matt Keller came to Quebec City to bring all of our belongings! We’re excited to have all of our things and make our house a home. Thanks guys! Unfortunately this trip was mostly all work and no play for them. They spent 10 hours getting here on Friday and left around 10 am the next morning. Early this morning we were able to slip in a quick trip to Old Quebec, oldest area of the city that was once a walled fort. Portions of the wall still stand as well as a majority of the old buildings. It was a fascinating visit!
(don’t worry, someone is hiding behind the canon holding Canaan up) :o)
