Oh Well

Photo 654 We thought we had our communications all figured out until sometime this morning both our Internet and phone line went dead! I was a little bummed out since I spent over an hour on the phone last night with customer support trying to get it all to work together. Apparently what happened was that when we first signed up for our Internet connection with Bell our land lords line was still active though they had called and asked for it to be canceled. Bell thought that the old line was ours and then sometime this morning our land lords phone company finally disconnected their line which made our Internet connection die. So to get this fixed Bell has do what’s called a dry loop where we get a fake telephone line setup that has no dial tone but is just used for dsl. The only problem is that to do this dry loop a technician has to come to the house, and they can’t come until Thursday (sometime between 8 and 12 of course).

Until then we’ll have to stick with our cell phone which isn’t too cheap of an option, we usually just use it in case of emergency.  I’m also required to check my university email each night to see if there are any ‘handouts’ that I need to print.  Our teacher said that the university no longer makes copies of handouts for students.  The students are required to print them out themselves.

Our unpacking continues, thanks for the prayers and well wishes!!

On this day..

You should feel lucky if those are all the problems you ever have with Bell. I refuse to ever let them provide me with phone and internet again.
