Oh where, oh where is my bus!

Today Norm left for school as usual. It is one of his late mornings and doesn’t have to leave until 8:30! Well a little while after Norm left Canaan and I got up out of bed and sat down in the living room together.  Then we were startled by hearing someone come in the front door! Norm was home! yeah! Wait a sec… he shouldn’t be home, he should be on the bus headed to school.

Well, apparently his bus had broken down and never came. Some other guy who was waiting for the bus called the company and said that it was broken. Good Grief! Its a bummer for Norm to miss class because he wants to understand all that he is learning and it takes a extra effort to catch up! But it was quite fun this morning! We had pancakes together as a family and got to hang out just a bit longer! Yeah for broken buses!

On another note, our french study is going well! Norm is doing so amazingly! It is so great to see him catch on so well and to assimilate what he learns so fast.

Me on the other hand have not started any kind of formal language learning yet. Which is a real bummer. I am feeling completely lost. I am doing a wonderful french program called Rosetta Stone. Which is the only thing keeping me sane right now. I spend about 2 hours a day on it. Its unfortunate that that is all I get in a day. I have to try fitting it in around being a mom. When Canaan is awake there is no way I can do the Rosetta Stone because it interests Canaan that he just can leave the computer alone.

On a positive note, I can order at Tim Hortons almost completely in  French. I don’t have a lot of exposure outside the home right now, so its exciting to get out of the house and practice something that I learn.

Thanks everyone for your prayers! Keep it up!

On this day..
