This morning while I was at school someone managed to gain access to our email account while Debra was already logged in to it. They started using Gtalk to chat with our contacts and began asking for money. He said that he was in Morocco and was claiming that he was poor and that his mom was sick. His messages were hard to understand, his English was horrible. Poor Debra was terrified, she was chatting to a friend at the same time that this intruder was talking to the same friend. Special thanks to Josh Leo for helping Debra out while I was gone and staying on the phone with her while she tried to get things straightened out. He tried to request a password change from paypal but it seems as though the security questions stumped him.
Obviously we’ve spent the last few hours changing all of our passwords. Our previous password was decent, but we’d had it for ages. It was a lesson learned: change your passwords - often. We apologize if you were sent any bizarre messages from us, please let us know if you did. We have absolutely no idea how he could have obtained our password, but the important thing is that everything is changed and we are now safe and sound.
On this day..

Radical man! I’d be searching some more for the security breach. :-| I’m glad the person didn’t get any further…
Geez. That stuff’s supposed to happen to incompetents like me, not geeks like you. Glad nothing more happened.
Wow! Glad that Josh was there to help! Thankfully it didn’t go any further! I hate the idea about changing passwords but I think you’re right it is time too!
