Over the last few days I’ve been experiencing a dull pain in one of my teeth. It wasn’t too too bad but it was noticeable and I wondered if I had a cavity. Last time I had a cavity I left it for a long time before breaking down and getting multiple large fillings (yes the same incident that resulted in a damaged nerve in my tongue). This time I decided to get it looked at before it became a major problem. Since I am in Ontario for the next few days visiting family I was able to book an appointment with my old dentist. He checked things out, took an xray and then entered the room with the news that one of my wisdom teeth were hollow! He said that he was surprised that it wasn’t bothering me more than it was. Since it was a wisdom tooth he decided that the best option was to just remove it. I wasn’t expecting to have a tooth removed today but thankfully the dentist had the time. He numbed me and was soon pulling away on the targeted tooth. During one yank the tooth suddenly crumbled because it was hollow and fragile. It was quite the mess but with the help of various nasty looking implements he was able to extract them. Debra and mom were quite surprised when I came home with a prescription for Tylenol 3 and some gauze. It’s been pretty sore but the Tylenol has kept it at bay. Tomorrow we are travelling up to the NTMC headquarters to pick up our newsletters and visit friends, we are enjoying our visit with family and are thankful for the break. Thanks for your continued prayers everyone!
