Where’s That Pacifier?
For the past few months Canaan’s beloved pacifier and giraffe have been relegated to only bed/nap times and in the car. He has been fantastic with this transition and it has gone without a hitch. Normally when we get him up from bed we track down his pacifier that is usually jammed down the side of his bed or even under his mattress. A couple of days ago Debra went in to get him and as normal began to search for the pacifier. It was nowhere to be found! After a few minutes of searching she discovered this…
Canaan had somehow managed to get hold of the Vaseline and had jammed it into bottle. We are thankful though… Canaan plus a bottle of Vaseline could have ended up a lot worse…

You were very lucky! My girlfriend and I went on a short road trip in the evening. We strapped her three year old in her car seat and drove down the road. When we reached our destination and turned to get the little girl out of her car seat we discovered she was covered in sunscreen form head to toe, long hair and car seat. Her mother was very upset and of course I grabbed the camera to have proof. I forgot to mention it was a brand new bottle of sunscreen totally emptied.
How very funny… Brings back memories.. When Norm was about the same age he went missing and was found in a cupboard with a tub of Vaseline. He was covered though.. he had a pretty slick face for awhile. Canaan you are just like your Daddy. LOL.. Love Gramma xo
what a cheeky boy! At least you finally found the soother though. It makes naptime easy and roadtrips too! Although, with RAchel I didnt want her to have it after 22 months of age, so I cut the top of it off and told her it was broken. She tried to suck on it, but it just didn’t feel the same way in her mouth so after a couple of nights she didn’t want to use it anymore. Now, when Alora has one in her mouth (she’s teething)Rachel says “Mommy, that’s Alora’s, mine’s broken”.
Man! That’s kinda gross!
Good find Deb!

Don’t worry, he will find another chance to give you a good “he covered himself” story!!!
hehehe. What a little stinker. He would’ve had some pretty slippery poop if he… well, never mind.
Hope you’re enjoying your va-CA-tion! We sure got dumped on with snow. We stayed an extra day with family this weekend because of all the snow.
