Wow, what a night. Right now, I should be in Cleveland waiting for our flight to Toronto. But here I am still in California. Yesterday afternoon Debra’s mom and aunt Kelly started to feel sick and began to throw up. They went to their bedrooms to rest and the rest of us continued with dinner. After dinner I started to feel nauseous but just shrugged it off. Most of us went back to Gregg and Kathleen’s to hang out and it wasn’t long before I was rushing to the bathroom to throw up. I’ll spare you the details but I’ll just say that the following hours and night were horrible. Some of the worst hours of sickness I’ve had. But I wasn’t the only one. Soon after, Debra became just as sick and then through out the night Critter, Kathleen, Mitch and uncle Gary all got it. The only ones who didn’t get this flu bug were Gregg, Dad and Canaan. Most of us were up all night with it and we knew that there was no way we could get up at 5:30 for our flight. This nasty flu bug just zapped the strength right out of us and we weren’t even able to pack much less get to the airport and travel. Debra’s dad phoned the airline and was able to cancel our flight but receive the full value of the ticket in credit. Our plans now are to leave on Monday which is a bummer because our Copeland family Christmas was supposed to be tomorrow.
We were up a lot during the night and I just spent the time praying for little Canaan, it would be so horrible for him! We’re going to spend the day resting and hopefully we will all get over this. Thanks for your prayers.
On this day..
- Happy Birthday Grandma! - 2006
- Christmas Break - 2005

Hope you all recover soon and can get in on some of the Copeland family Christmas. So glad the sickness didn’t hit while you were in the air or in an airport.
Hey all. I am sorry to hear you had such a rough bout of the flu! You are in my prayers, and I’m sure things will all work out.
Sorry I wasn’t able to catch up with you this trip to California. Let me know next time you are going to be “in town”.
