We just completed the first leg of our postponed journey home. We are are in Vegas on a layover only an hour away from new years. Our flight departs at 11:50, I’m not sure if it will happen but we’re hoping to see a few fireworks on our way out - is that too much to ask? Canaan did ok on our first flight, a bit grouchy but not bad. Scoring an extra seat between us didn’t hurt either. Our flight to Toronto is apparently pretty empty and we’re quite confident that we will get another spare seat for Canaan. On a side note, about 10 minutes ago I was walking Canaan around and a woman behind me in a loud voice said, ‘I can’t believe people take little children on red eye flights!’ Well, I can’t believe people are raised to be so rude.
Anyways, we’ll be boarding soon and wanted to send out a little update, hope you are all having a great New Years!
On this day..

Funny how inconsiderate people can be when they have absolutely no clue what others’ circumstances are. Canaan looks like a tired little guy, I hope your next flight went smoothly. We missed you tonight at the party, but glad you’re well enough to travel. Have a safe trip and Happy New Year!
Canaan does look like a tired little boy.. Praying for you that he is sleeping right now. Love you .. see you soon. xo
PS That lady has no idea what you guys have been through in the last few days but we do and you are awesome parents.
Are you guys O.K.? Did you make it home?
Your making us worried!
