Canaan’s First Love

What does Canaan love more than anything in this world? His mom and dad? Not quite. Food? Almost. If you know him at all you know that it is his trucks and cars! You don’t have to spend a lot of time with him before you hear, “vroom vroom!” This made it easy for his aunts, uncles and grandparents to buy him Christmas presents. Canaan now has a fleet and spends his days making loud engine noises and driving his trucks around.

During the summer Canaan was a little afraid to get near my dad’s transport truck, he’d even begin to cry. But his sentament has changed since then, this evening he spent some time with his grandpa in the HUGE truck. He absolutely loved it! He pushed buttons, blew horns and got a kick out of repeatedly turning on and off the signal. He loves to hang out with his uncle Ken who shares his love for all things automotive. Ken has an insanely fast Camaro that he has customized, it is away for the winter but as soon as it comes out Canaan is getting a super fast ride!

This Wednesday we are heading back to Quebec to begin our next semester of French study. I’m looking forward to getting back into it, though not necessarily sitting in a classroom. Quebec, here we come!
