When something grows slowly before your eyes, it’s easy to miss the change that has been taking place. That’s how we have been with our increasingly huge levels of snow in Québec City. Yesterday my brothers Ken and Colin along with friend Brenden showed up and were astounded at the view out our back porch. We have a set of sliding glass doors and the snow level is now well above my head, all you can see is about a foot of sky. In the picture below it’s a little difficult to see the snow level, but look closely! I’ve had my fair share of bad storms in Ontario, but I’ve never before experienced such a long onslaught of snow. As I write this, a thick sheet of snow is falling around us. I may have to take another picture in a few weeks!

That’s enough to give this California girl a claustrophobia attack!
Wow, that’s crazy. I thought we got a lot of snow but I guess not!! Grey Cty roads have been closed for 2 days in a row now though. I think the Academy kids are the only kids going to school in a 50 km radius.
holy cow!!!!! that is a lot of snow, don’t let Canaan outside or you’ll never see him again!
Wow…
Danas partly right… NONE of you can tread back there… Do you tie a rope on your waist when you go out
Man that’s a lot of snow. I won’t even tell you how nice it’s been in California lately…. It’s funny, when I saw your picture on this post at first I thought it was a shower & I was very curious to read your post….
This is outrageous! It reminds me of the old houses around Shelburne that had a door on the second floor of the house. My folks always told me that snow used to fall that high.
It’s fortunate that the snow doesn’t pile up right against the door, and there is a little gap to let light in.
P.S. I’d take a wind chill of -45 in Winnipeg over 45 inches of snow any day. We don’t get a lot of snow here.
