Reading week is flying by but yesterday we had the fun of visiting an Ice Hotel near Quebec City with our friends Peco and Markus. It was a beautiful structure (at least on the outside) with beautiful and intricate carvings inside. There were different rooms with different themes and it looked like there had been a competition, there were three rooms marked 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The first place room had leaves and ferns embedded in the ice, even though the leaves were fake it sure looked cool. We took a tour and then were able to wander around ourselves. We visited the chapel where 30 couple will be married this season and also the n’Ice Club where we warmed ourselves up with some hot chocolate. A few of us almost lost our hot chocolates when we placed them on the ice tables, they would start to slide off! There was a big ice slide in the middle of the hotel where Peco, Markus and I lined up with all of the little kids to wait for our turn. One of the great facets of having friends visit us is that we are more likely to visit these interesting attractions around the city, normally we just feel to busy with our studies. A few pictures are included here, you can check out the rest using the link below.

So Cool a new twist to jungle camp.
Can people actually stay overnight in this hotel?
And is that a dead animal blanket in the last picture!? :)
Yep, Jannah, it sure is! Although they assured us that the animals were used for food and the furs donated.
I wonder how many complaints they get about using furs.
