Our Search
First off, THANK YOU to everyone who commented both on our blog and on facebook, we greatly appreciate it, they were all very encouraging! It’s been a little surreal and though this is the second time that we will have gone through this, I’m positive that this pregnancy will have its own set of surprises and adventures.
As most of you know, we will heading back to Ontario in June to wait for the baby and for Debra’s citizenship before carrying on to California and then Guinea. We have already set up care for Debra in Ontario with the same midwives we used last time (they were awesome), but there is still three months between now and then. Finding care in Québec hasn’t proven to be so easy.
If you are a long time reader of our blog you probably know about the problems Deb had during her pregnancy with Canaan. She went through quite a few long months of extremely bad pain in her side and though it was initially diagnosed as hydronephrosis, subsequent symptons and experiences have led us to believe that it could not be that. We don’t know what it is but this time we want to find out! Some of the pain has already started in Deb’s back/side and that is why we really need to find a doctor in Québec.
Today we started by calling around and trying to get info on places we could possibly go. But, as is the problem in most of Canada, finding a doctor who will accept new patients is nearly impossible. We even wrote and mailed a desperate plea to an anglophone doctor nearby. So, please pray for us that we can find a doctor that we can meet with during our few remaining months in Québec.
P.S: Canaan’s birthday is in 5 days, woohoo! A two year old, yikes!
