Last Presentation in Québec

Over the last couple of weeks I have been working on a presentation for our French church here in Québec (audio below).  I was very happy to have the opportunity to share who we are and what we are all about but I was definitely very nervous.  I have had presentations in the past but those were all infront of my peers.  This time I was infront of a group of native of speakers who have watched our abilities in French develop over the last 10 months.  It was a small presentation, only about 14 minutes but it took much more time to prepare for this then when I do a sermon at home.  I shared who we are, who NTM is and our future plans.  I was encouraged as people laughed when I hoped they would laugh and when I didn’t see any confused faces.  After listening to the recording I am not as happy with my phonetics and accent as I had hoped but I think that that is due to nerves.  Next week my fellow student, missionary and friend Bill Martin will be sharing about his family and their work in Senegal followed by a potluck for us and the Martins.  I don’t know if anyone from our church here reads our blog but if so, thank you so much for the chance to share today!

I’ve embedded below the audio from our presentation in case you are wondering how I sound now after 10 months of study.  I cut out the audio from the video that I showed in the middle.
