News Mishmash

It’s been ages (or at least it seems like it) since we last posted so I thought I would give a brief update.  We have been keeping very busy as we finish setting up home and start to tackle other projects.  I’ve been very busy keeping up French as well as helping our church with various projects.

Another event coming soon is the ‘Bike Our Stuff to Africa‘ bike-a-thon.  In case you missed the post last week, Ken and our friend Brendan will be biking 200 kms to raise money for shipping our belongings and supplies to Guinea.  If you are interested in sponsoring, visit the ‘Bike to Africa’ website. Another neat thing along with that project is the possibility of putting up a map with real time position of the guys.  I’m currently working on trying to get that working.  All going well, it will be fun to watch online as they race across the Ontario countryside.  :o)

Canaan is doing great, growing like crazy in many areas.  He loves to make us laugh and so we have to be careful at what we laughed at!  Potty training is going very well, he doesn’t wear a diaper at all during the day (the following photos are from pre potty training days) and this coming week we are going to start working on nap times.  Here are a couple of photos of Canaan enjoying the whiteboard on the fridge:
